I'm not going to ask how you're doing this Christmas, I'm just
going to let you ALL know that you are in my thoughts and good wishes.

May you all find comfort in the knowledge that your loved ones are always with you in some way. May the love you know in your heart, sustain you now and always.

sincerely..

2. thanks aA.
this will be the second christmas in mourning. the first one happened less than two months after my mom passed on.

i feel a lot more awake--even though i'm still in a mental fog most of the time--i'm a lot more awake/aware than i was last year.

going through the motions--not joyfully

last year my daughter wanted a christmas tree and i couldn't bring myself to put up a big one so we had a little tabletop tree.

i still haven't gotten out the tabletop tree for this year. she's coming home tomorrow--maybe i'll put it up and surprise her before she gets home. but i probably won't. she might have to do it.

last year i was devastated, desolate, heartbroken.
this year i feel dead inside.
no happiness. no joy.
i miss that woman so much my heart aches.

i wonder how many lifetimes her and i go back. was it always so difficult to part with her?

3. Peace to you AA and all the 'members' of this club
I hope we can all find peace and comfort with the loved ones who are still with us and celebrate this holiday season in remembrance of those who've passed.

Peace,

4. I lost both my parents this year, just a few months apart.
It was strange not being with my Father but he was so ill and ready to go.

Life goes on, but I will miss him very much.
