1. Yes. It was blatant and childish.
I'm just a little bit -- no make that a lot -- sick of the childish, immature behavior I'm seeing with the BO crowd. Makes me sick.

2. This incident has changed my feelings towards BO.
I used to think that I would have no problem voting for him if he ends up with the nom.

BUT this is so f-ing childish, I have lost all respect for him. This is something that I would expect out of a teenager, not someone that is applying to be the leader of the free word.

11. It's EXACTLY how teenaged boys flip each other off in class, and then say

with a great show of innocence "I was just scratching my face, honest!" As a teacher I never bought that story.

BO is emotionally retarded. . . hmm, remind you of anybody else in politics???

And he can't bowl worth a shit! That was a dumb move for him to do something he doesn't know how to do. He's supposed to be good at basketball but probably doesn't want to show that since all black guys are supposed to be good at basketball.

Hillary looked cool doing a shot and a beer.

14. I've seen that gesture used many times in just the same manner. It was
deliberate and his audience recognized it for what it was.

3. I was skeptical at first....

I will not be able to vote for him if it is true.

4. His followers in the audience convinced me he did.
The timing of their roar of approval is telling.

5. That is disturbing, isn't it?
I am simply beside myself as I watch my party disintegrate like this....

10. Did you see how they went crazy when he was brushing off his shoulders?

See my post below about the Jay-Z reference.

6. I went on YouTube and searched Obama Finger Clinton......
and found more than one video where he was giving the same speech to different audiences and did the finger thing exactly the same at the same point in his speech when he is talking about Hillary and the crowd roars. Once could be an accident, more than once is not. :grr:

8. He brushed imaginary dandruff off of his shoulders
Edited on Tue Apr-22-08 12:48 AM by BrightKnight
during a rally on CNN. He was talking about Hillary when he did it.

Some of his supporters at the rally thought it was funny. Obama may be aloof but he does not always take the this high road.

My jaw dropped when I saw him do that a few days ago.

9. THAT was a reference to a Jay-Z song. Here are the lyrics:

"If you feelin like a pimp nigga, go and brush your shoulders off
Ladies is pimps too, go and brush your shoulders off
Niggaz is crazy baby, don’t forget that boy told you
Get, that, dirt off your shoulder

You’re now tuned into the muh’fuckin greatest
Turn the music up in the headphones
Tim, you can go and brush your shoulder off nigga
I got you, yeah"

I'm told Jay-Z does the brushing gestures all during the video.

Obama also talks about twisting the knife in during that speech and twice makes a stabbing, twisting gesture which I'm told Wright has been known to use in sermons.

BO is a Jay-Z fan and when BO won Iowa, he and Michelle entered the victory party with Jay-Z's "99 Problems" blaring.

"99 problems but the bitch aint one
If you're havin' girl problems i feel bad for you son
I got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one"

i was told by a younger HRC supporter that Jay-Z is not really gangsta rap and not really misogynistic, that

"the 99 problems uses a misogynist lyric in a song that is actually not about women at all. It is about staying smart, strong, achieving your goals and not letting some asshole talkin smack (the "bitch" he is referring to) pull you off course and into doing something stupid."

Maybe that's so, I know little about rap, but I think BO and MO were thinking specifically of HRC when they heard "but the bitch ain't one."

You have to wonder what they're thinking, taking their kids to Wright's church and, presumably, playing music like this at home. Little girls don't need to hear words like niggaz, pimps, bitches, mutherfuckin, etc.

12. I may be old fashioned but.... dandruff?
I think this will really hurt him among just the group he knows he has a problem with. The "greyhairs." I am only 49 years old, and I found it offensive, tho I know where it comes from.....

Noone my age or older wants a smarta** for a president. He is not really campaigning to win over the hiphop generation, ya know? He already has them in his back pocket. I gotta wonder what he was thinking here?

13. I completely agree with you.
He is acting like my 16 year old grandson does when he is with his male cousins - just plain arrogant. I've had enough of that for the last eight years. Who needs another four or eight.

I'm 61. I've voted in every election since I was 18 and I've voted the straight Democratic ticket, sometimes even holding my nose. Not this time. If he is the nominee, I think I'm sitting this one out. I feel awful about that, but I just can't vote for someone who clearly dismisses or "brushes off" a whole segment of our population or a whole class of our people.

What completely baffles me is that so many people cannot see it. Every day I just shake my head in disbelief of how gullible his supporters are.
