I bet JFK never *inspired* folks the way Obama is right about now.

1. For a moment, I thought you were saying, 'Ted & Carol, Bob & Alice'....

...that 70s movie, but I'm just showing my age, I guess. LOL!

Ahh, I'd like to see their faces as they read about this Wright fiasco blowing up everywhere.

2. I wonder how Caroline would like to have her children
who talked her into supporting Obama in that congregation listening?

4. Gotta hope this is all a big surprise to these endorsers of Obama.
I mean, what does it say to their judgment of character if, knowing how hateful Obama's spiritual upbringing had been, they went ahead and endorsed anyway.
It's bad enough they all look like idiots jumping on the latest flashy bandwagon. I really felt bad for Hillary when they all callously dumped her for the *new guy*. I hope in her heart of hearts she's feeling a bit of schadenfreude today.
And to answer your question, I doubt very much Carolyn Kennedy would like for her children to attend one of Wright's so-called sermons. One gets the feeling they wouldn't be welcomed anyway based on being white.

5. they are even worse
they are RICH and white and privileged. Wright says there are white members of his congregation. I can't imagine what it must be like to listen to some of this stuff. I would feel very uncomfortable and conspicuous.

7. Well, some people are born with masochistic tendencies. That's
the only explanation I can come up with for any non-AA person who belongs to that church!!

OT, hey, I picked up my two kitties from the vet and they are both sleeping under DD's bed. They're pretty knocked out with fentanyl patches cuz I had their front claws removed.
If I have you confused with another poster from my other group, I apologize in advance.

no, you didn't get confused, but I did for a second!

Hope your kitties are doing well. My Clyde found a ladybug and it has become his new pet. It doesn't move very fast or do much but he lays his head on the floor and watches it until he has to get up and move closer.

19. Oh, hi this morning. Yep, both kitties are doing well. One is lying
on the computer desk to me, purring up a storm. The other one is a little shellshocked yet, what with her intro to our household yesterday but she'll come around too.
So Clyde found himself a lady(bug)! Heh, heh. That must be quite a cute picture, the two of them together.

10. I respectfully think they ought to be feeling much worse. Dean was
an honorable man whose minor faux pas was magnified a thousandfold by the media.

12. Definitely agree, and don't you think Edwards is feeling good right
about now? At least Gore seems to have learned from last time since he hasn't endorsed anyone to date. I'm betting if Gore and Edwards endorse now it won't be for Barack.
Thank goodness for the superdelegates. They have a chance to pull the party out of the fire if they nominate Hillary. Otherwise, we are definitely going down. We may anyway; I am sure even without BO as the nominee the Republicans will spend the fall painted the Democratic Party as liberal white America haters.

i think i recall him saying that hillary had to drop out of the race. i may be wrong. i also wonder who will john edwards decide to endorse now.

and you know the subject of rev. wright will come up in either one or both of those two upcoming debates between hillary and baracka obama.

23. you could be right
I thought he had not officially endorsed yet. But I did find some quotes from him.
He's an idiot if he does and I lose much respect for him. I happen to personally like the guy.

Speaking on CBS's "Face the Nation," Richardson said: "I just think that D-Day is Tuesday. We have to have a positive campaign after Tuesday. Whoever has the most delegates after Tuesday, a clear lead, should be, in my judgment, the nominee."

Richardson also took issue with Hillary's "red phone" ad:

"I happen to disagree with that ad that says that Senator Obama is not ready," he said. "He is ready. He has great judgment, an internationalist background."

27. She is going to be prodded on the subject. She has to be ready with
something that leaves her out of the situation, something like "I'm just taking in the information like everyone else and at this point I have no comment."

I can't see any good in her getting involved with this in any way.

If it were me, I'd come down with the flu and skip the debates. She always aces them and gets trashed by the media. Well, she's not a scare-dy cat like me.

She'll think of something, but they are going to look for any way they can to switch the story from Wright's hatred and Bama's mentorship to Hillary the dirty campaigner.

The situation is fraught with peril. She should treat it like the Cuban Missile Crisis.

30. anamandujano, i too have thought much about how they plan to skewer hillary this two upcoming
Edited on Sat Mar-15-08 02:48 PM by flordehinojos
Skewer-Hillary Save-Baracka by the televisionnaries-not show. It would be neat if she could get out of them. But she is a fighter. I am praying (sending positive vibes) that whatever they throw at her and that however they want to skewer her, she will come out with a brilliant answer that will leave them all flabbergasted ... although, that would probably be adding more fuel to the fire of spin, lies and misinformation against hillary.

i know they all know that the person they need to address their questions to about this reverend wright is to baracka obama --- just watch them pull another steve croft on hillary and insist that she answer them ... and whatever answer she gives will be red meat for the vulture press.

i hope she will simply say, it is not me that you need to address those questions to, it is senator obama who needs to answer them.

14. I was so disappointed when the Kennedy's came out for BO
Especially Caroline. Then when they compared him to JFK it just made me sick. I admired JFK so much. And Bobby too. I remember driving home when Bobby's campaign car came down the road and I pulled over he look over at me and smiled and nodded his head. Just that little instant made me feel good. Didn't get to see JFK when he came to town, should have taken off work that day.

20. Yes I know how you feel bellasgrams, I was disappointed and angry
that they could compare this fraud to my hero Bobby. I have in my computer room pictures, letters, tape speeches ( of which Bobby wrote himself) not somebody else's words. Hence the use of the word fraud. Every morning I start my day listening to Bobby's speech "about the mindless menace of violence." I cry and dream of what could have been.

If anyone hasn't heard the speech here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwVya7EXj50 I hope I did this link right, let me know and will try and get it right.

Peace

22. I am so so with you here....
I am a Kennedyana admirer and collector all my life. JFK and RFK. Met JFK and Jackie and Caroline and a whole slew of 'em. Never Bobby though and he's the one I would have loved to meet. My whole home office is Kennedyana everywhere.

I was shocked, saddened, dismayed, confused and bewildered by Caroline.

A president like my father??? Huh? On what level? Where? How??

I have been researching, reading, studying etc. JFK and RFK most of my life, prob. starting at about 8, that's no lie. My dad admired JFK so much, it started me when I was 5. We met him over in Manhattan when it was still called the Pan Am Building. From then on, I was hooked and I revere the 2 of them.

To have this flim flam man compared ot him on ANY level insults me personally, and to have his DAUGHTER say these things is beyond any reasonable comprehension, truly. Teddy? Well, they say he's all pissy cause Hillary didn't include JFK in her 'speech' about civil rights, so he went to Obama.

But I do find the whole Kennedy/Obama thing beyond distressing. He isn't fit to hold their shoes.

I'd LOVE to see Obama handle the Cuban Missile Crisis. He wouldn't answer the phone and go hide in the bathroom. How Caroline can say he would be a president like my father is almost blasphemy to me.

ugh, I'll shut up.
