Anyone else have a spouse / SO who accuses you of drinking,

when you're not, but your spouse / SO is doing so their ownself?

Your thoughts and comments would be greatly appreciated.

My housemate/friend frequently says "you smell like alcohol." I have a year sober, as of April, so it really gets on my nerves. It's been a hard road, took me awhile to get it, went to AA for a good six months before I finally quit drinking completely, and it's also true that I didn't own up to it when I had been, but comments/accusations like this, when I've accomplished what I have, though some days are still rough, certainly don't help... :(

And my mother did the same thing, which is closer to what you describe. She would nag me about my drinking, even accuse me of drinking her wine, brandy, etc., when she could hardly see straight, herself, though that could certainly explain it... x(

As for my SO, he would say that he could "handle it," while I could not, but that's a whole other story. ;(
