I have quit using sugar and I have a question
I am using Xylitol exclusively as an added sweetener when needed (coffee, tea, etc,,) I have done much research and cannot find negatives. Does anyone have information about possible drawbacks to using it??

1. No idea, I 've never heard of Xylitol before
usually my inlaws(who are diabetic) use splenda and I haven't read/heard of any drawbacks of that sweetner either....

I try to avoid sugar/artifical sweetners like the plague though...and when I do break down, I usually consume 1 12 ounce can of Mt. Dew(usually 1 a month)....

2. the info I get is that Xylitol is great for diabetics
the product has been popular for decades in Europe and Asia. I wouldn't really call it an artificial sweetener, it was originally made from the bark of birch trees and now comes from various sources. My theory is that sugar producers and marketers here in the U.S. have blocked its easy sale here, just my most recent conspiracy theory. Its not bad stuff.

3. I'll tell my inlaws about
it, they usually avoid aspartame like the plague(and use splenda)....My father in law is a total GNC/Health food nut, so I'm sure he will be excited to hear about something new.

4. I have a bag of it that I use - however its not my favorite...
it leaves a funny aftertaste for me.

Xylitol is a natural anti-bacterial as well - so its excellent for your dental health (thats why I looked into it and used Xylitol toothpaste and mouth wash).

Here is a lot of info on it (no negatives that I can find outside of personal preference.)
