Starting a long drawn out process
I also posted in the excercise forum.
I plan on taking my time, reading and hopefully posting more there as well as here to keep myself motivated in the hopes that I can get my life back on track weigth and health wise to where I used to be.
I remember being in shape, working out fairly regularly and being able to enjoy all kinds of foods without going overboard or gaining weight.
Life caught up in a big way and I intend to take it down a notch.
Wish me luck and I look forward to discussions and advice here in this forum.

Cheers!

1. Getting your blood moving is the key!
Even a little exercise is good, but the more you do the more you can do and will want to do. Just don't get depressed and stop like so many of us tend to do. Supporting each other is what this forum is about, and you have my utmost support and encouragement. :)

One little step at a time... keep us posted! :hi:

2. Thanks flamingyouth.....
I will.

I agree with small steps. There are those days where you think of any and all excuses to not exercise, or eat something you know you shouldn't etc. We're all human and we slip, it's ok. The main thing is to persevere and get right back at it and not beat oneself up about it.
I have always found that once it(exercise)becomes part of the routine, the diet seems to follow naturally. As the energy levels increase, the need for fatty gross foods seem to decrease for me. I tend to really notice how yucky they are after cleansing my pallet with good foods.
I will not weigh myself now, but likely I will around Christmas. I have a good idea what I weigh and it sucks big time! So for now, just noticing clothes getting looser and feeling more comfortable will be my barometer.
At Christmas I will then weigh myself, re-evaluate my diet and make adjustments accordingly.

The ultimate question is, if I know these things, why did I get to where I am in the first place....damn you *!!!! I blame him for everything negative and bad, it's just easier that way!
