The OP evidently didn't get the "two hot chicks" fantasy that likes to be bandied around as extension of male control over female sexuality. That two women making an decision independent of men to have sex isn't considered 'real'--it's male fantasy. The feminists viewpoint covered it very well, but I noticed most just plain didn't get it.

I understood the question, but the huge blind spot comparing male and female sexuality was very telling. It also didn't quite degrade into a flame war, although a couple of the usual suspects were out, as it would have if the topic was female bisexuality.

There has been a lot of slime tossed toward Gays since the Craig incident. Non-funny jokes, justified by "Republican Hypocrisy"

how I've been trying to hide (and alert) on those Craig threads. I was exhausted last night doing so. There were so many. Literally in a five minute span, there were three or four new ones. I couldn't keep up.

Most are identical. Some poll or comment about bathroom sex, someone saying,"...I'm not a gay guy but..." as if we didn't know. As if anyone would mistake their bigoted comments for those coming from "a gay guy." :eyes: Though as usual there was someone that identified himself as glbt exploiting the issue and making insensitive comments. He or she apparently felt they were entitled to slur the glbt community because they were "bi." (sigh) There's always at least one, sadly. The woman that defends rapists, a person of color that defends bigotry, why would the glbt community be any different? :(

But I actually was surprised no one said anything in response to your comment. I thought for sure one of the usual lunkheads would come along and pick your words apart. :shrug: They were probably too busy w/their current obsession--bathroom sex and Craig. :eyes:

I thought it was kind of an odd thread, though. I was too damned tired to attempt to comment on the notion that true self-identified bisexual women actually make out in front of males for their approval (however that was worded in the post). :eyes: Though I've seen women do this, it's usually on some lame male oriented show like Howard Stern. I've never really had the sense that these women truly identify as "bisexual", just that they are when it's "cute" or makes them look "fun." :puke: For those reasons, I find the notion kind of insulting to true bisexual women.

It also seems to me to be a damaging stereotype of bisexual women that is perpetuated by the porn industry, specifically hetero male porn.

But again, my mind was fried and I was exhausted--so I didn't want to try to say something and have it make no sense. Still kind of tired, so not sure if this even makes sense. lol.
