Turns out that a model endorses Kaloogian and Josh Marshall has a little teehee about it while looking at the soft core porn pictures. I'm angry. We see so many men on the progressive sites post about how there is nothing wrong with porn, the women in porn are treated well, etc. but then they laugh that a model could endorse a candidate. So all the women on those stupid videos lifting their shirts, or having sexy pictures taken in college, then watch out. What we always suspected and argued, you will never be taken seriously. :argh:

... there probably would have been no question among all of you about whether or not this woman was capable, smart, or qualified to be politically active.

One photo of 56 is suggestive and they're having a heyday over it. :eyes: I suppose because I cut loose a bit in P-town I can't be taken seriously, and all of my education and experience means nothing? :shrug:

Women are either not sexy enough or too sexy. Twenty five years ago, my graduate school wouldn't hire a female professor. Several of the male professors told us that she was too sexy to be taken seriously. She was an attractive woman but in no way dressed provacatively or used her sex appeal in private meetings. I guess you saw the thread arguing that Hilary Clinton is has too much sex appeal to be elected. Then Chris Matthews mentioned on his show that Pelosi is a very attractive woman but it's hard to see her handling foreign policy--she should only talk about domestic policy.

I like most DUers think Hilary Clinton has moved too far to the right and I'm angry about her supporting *'s war. But I will be thrilled if she becomes President. Too many heads will explode letting a woman rule.

I am not really crazy about Clinton, but I really want to see this country elect a female President--and then I want to see how she fares in the White House.

Besides, she can't possibly do any more damage than shit-for-brains has.

And you're right about women never being taken seriously, particularly for leadership positions. They're too fragile, too vapid, likely to blow up the world when they have PMS, not strong enough for tough international issues and warfare concerns, can't gain rank on their own merit, etc, etc.
