2. Oh, nice!!!
What makes it "old school"?

I once found a Coach bucket style leather bag and used it for a long time. It's in the closet now. I should take AzDems advice and put some saddle soap to it.

This one of yours is in lovely shape! Are you going to keep it?

3. Old school - meaning I do not believe they even make that bag anymore
I am definitely going to keep it. I am picking up the saddle soap tomorrow.

5. I've been carrying a $7.50 Donna Karan bag around for years
It was big enough for my lunch, my stethoscope and my drug book when I was an RN and it's big enough for all my portfolio papers now.

It shows little sign of wear. I am very grateful to the person who donated it to the thrift shop.

I still use it all the time, and many have tried to get me to sell it to them. fat chance!, it was my best find ever. :)

8. Two years ago I found a huge, comfy, soft "grandma" cardigan sweater,
Edited on Tue Oct-16-07 01:56 PM by kestrel91316
Italian made, 100% MERINO WOOL(!!!), dark brown, and did I say COMFY?

Price: $2.00

I wear it around the house all fall, winter, and spring. I wear it out shopping (I am not one to dress up, this sweater is a couple-three sizes "too big") in cooler weather, and for my evening walks. It's big enough I can layer up underneath.

Yes, it's frumpy, but I DON'T CARE. I looked for years for a good casual cardigan.

It's unfashionably long (like I like them) and has two front pockets good for Kleenex and keys and money. PERFECT.

10. I scored a special bike a few weeks ago...
at a Salvation Army. I knew the bike was different, didnt know why till I googled it. I sold it on craigslists after cleaning it up...paid 15.00, sold it for 300.00, gave a donation to the same store for 200.00, every one wins!

11. that is a beautiful bag!
I found three handmade Boleslawiec bowls at Goodwill recently. They are beautiful.

I also found six Dansk bowls, not my pattern but compatible.

I never buy at big box stores when I can find a Salvation Army or a Goodwill.
