Shampoo free?
Has anyone tried this baking soda solution wash with vinegar rinse for washing their hair?
http://babyslime.livejournal.com/174054.html

Since I color my hair I hesitate to try it even though the blogger who wrote this faq has when she colored her hair. It looks like an interesting alternative to share here.

2. Be sure to rinse between them
or the chemical reaction will cook your scalp.

Personally, I'd rather buy bargain shampoo. That and toilet paper are two conveniences I don't feel much like doing without.

I've had to wash my hair with bar soap. It doesn't work. Shampoo is truly wonderful stuff.

4. Right, there is economy and there is false economy
and wisdom comes from knowing the difference between them.

I use the cheapest shampoo out there, a brand that doesn't break my scalp out like the expensive ones do. I also occasionally use the stuff in bulk at the food co op. I can't see going around with stringy hair just to save four bucks every three months or so.
