I just returned from getting my prescription filled...
to discover I no longer have health insurance!!

I am stunned. I hadn't been sick or to a doctor in over 4 years. That ended after working at my new job for 3 months. Then I let myself become exhausted as I was working non-stop, trying to deal with all my personal issues and I was routinely IN TROUBLE about something at work. One day I started crying and couldn't stop. I went to my doctor and he prescribed Effexor and Ativan.

So here I am thinking I'll be getting my COBRA papers in the mail anyday. But NO, no COBRA no insurance. Little did I know, that employers with less than 20 employees are required to offer COBRA. Had my exit interview not been a sham it would have been mighty considerate of them to mention this little tidbit to me.

wtf is wrong with people. No matter what, I worked my butt off for them. You'd think they could find it in themselves to muster up some common courtesy. I'm sorry but wtf!!

Ok, end of vent. Now I'm off to build a strategy on how I want to let them know what sorry excuse for humans they are.

1. I'm so sorry this happened to you.
I've seen so many cases of employers treating employees (& former employees) like crap because the job market is so bad. We should have universal healthcare in this country; we already pay enough in taxes for it. Healthcare shouldn't be linked to employment.

4. Scumbags
It's really ridiculous since any decent society would offer fair health coverage to all its citizens. Since the U.S. doesn't, however, one would expect that employers with any decency would provide health insurance.

Animosity among each one another is the result. What kind of maniac thinks that's the American way? If every other industrialized nation can provide health care so can we.

We know exactly what our masters are thinking. They want us to work hard for them to the greatest extent that we are physically and mentally capable, so they tell us that our lives literally depend on our obedience and servitude.

What kind of sick perverted twisted degenerate people would not want to provide one another fair medical coverage to everyone regardless of their individual circumstances? There is no reason why every other civilized nation should have full medical and we can't. If there is no other reason for a full fledged revolt in the country this is it.
