References, questions
Well I am still looking for a "real" job, I did manage to get a stupid job to cover expenses for now. But here is my question. I have professional references, including 3 from my prior employer, however all three of them have either given notice (head of accounting), been fired (CFO), or walked off the job do to conflicts with the owner (same thing I did, my immediate supervisor, the Construction superintendent). So do these references still count? I can honestly say that their is no one that I worked with at my prior company (excluding the owner, some labors I supervised and one part time clerk) still their. Now to add just one more layer to my conundrum I also sued my former employer for back wages and won, so I am not the most popular person in their recent past. So do I continue to use these three persons, or do I go way back (about 6 years) to prior employers?

1. Use them
The fact that they're no longer employed with your previous employer shouldn't matter. I would go ahead and use them as references.

3. I do reference checks, and it does not matter at all to me
if they are still with the company. Get home contact info if possible so we can still find them after they leave.
