that we keep hearing how it is us that undermines the troops. We all know that's bullshit. But what I think hurts them the most is how betrayed they've been by this leadership, and what I fear is that the damage is so great that our military men and women will have trouble trusting the commander in chief's decisions long after the shrub is gone. And I think that is incredibly sad and damaging. Our military needs to be able to trust their President. This president has betrayed that trust to such a degree that I'm certain its detrimental affects will linger.

Maybe the military needs to rethink this policy of silence. There has to be some way where they can remain apolitical, but not find themselves in this kind of situation.

If the people, congress and executive branch, decide on war for the protection of the country, or what ever, the military has taken an oath to serve us without question. Regardless of the way they are betrayed we can't have the military setting policy or questioning the authority. I remember when I was in the Navy in the 60's, if you opened your mouth and questioned the military it was a good way to end up in the brig.

The people, meaning you and I, have to hold the congress and the executive branch accountable for their actions. Remember it's a country OF the people, BY the people and FOR the people. We have to call our representatives and hold their feet to the fire and demand they answer the question of how OUR military is being betrayed. Then everyone has to vote, the future of this country lies in OUR hands.
