every time, regarding raising the minimum wage. Perphaps small business should fight for more tax breaks instead of denying workers a wage that even though raised you can't get by on. How can you not want people in this country to make a decent wage.
8. What drives the cost of goods is the cost of energy.
It's not wages that drive up the cost of goods as some business people would like us to think.
Why not index the minimum wage to the cost of energy? Then the lowest income people will always at least be keeping up with the increased cost of living.
There hasn't been any talk of raising the minimun wage in so long that you may not have heard it before, but the same arguments are used every time. So, those wern't necessarily plants; just parrots.
if it were more than just a pyramid scheme that required constant population growth to keep it funded.
It would also be nice if money paid into social security were not just tossed in with the rest of the general funds for congress to spend. Al Gore had a good idea.
