Alaska - was it on one of the chimps talking points?
I was wondering if the chimp eeked and stammered about this during his four point plan for lowering gas prices? I can't listen to the monkey because every time I do I break out in a rash. Also if the Repukes want to dig in Alaska than the question becomes how can the Dems oppose it without looking bad?

Note I am against drilling in the artic because a) we don't know how much oil is up there and b) I don't know what the effect of global warming would be if we open the area up. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

1. Yep, he got all excited talking about "domestic drilling"
And the nut had the nerve to say that if we had given Alaska to his oil cronies years ago, we might not have high prices now.

Most are smart enough to know that drilling in Alaska couldn't produce anything for years, and I think that they are waking up to the fact that it is just about big $$$ to big oil. I don't see how the Dems couldn't ridicule into next week any suggestion that domestic drilling will have any positive effect for the consumers. But then again, what do I know?

Hey Dan, long time no see. How have ya been doing? :hi:

3. Doing okay, I guess
I'm preparing myself for empty nest syndrome. My dil is active duty, but my son and their three kids have been living with us. She has recently been transfered to Fort Bragg and my son & little ones are going to move there to be with her. It kind of (okay, it really) pisses me off because I imagine that she will be deployed overseas within six months, and the kids will be on the other side of the country with no grandma close by. They are SO young, 5, 3, & 1 year.

Other than that things are okay.

I'm glad that the warmer weather is giving you some relief, you deserve nothing but good things. Hopefully sanity will be restored to the country and stem cell research will be utilized to help cure Parkinsons and a host of other nasty, yet potentially defeatable illnesses.
