1. Probably not
but as long as we can get him investigated (which isn't happening now) then it's a start. If anything, it'll be like a Clinton Impeachment where we do it but we don't have the votes to make it stick (which is like 2/3rds of the senate)

7. Agree. If the Democrats don't want to face the same future the GOP
is going to face (I sure hope so) - total extermination.

10. I think you're probably right
What I want is massive, public investigations. Unless the Murikan people have their noses rubbed in what they've allowed to happen, nothing will change.

8. No, not in the Dems' best interest, unless...
...he manages to get us into yet another war to boost his poll numbers. Then, impeach is the only option.

9. Hell No!!!
Much, much better to have two years of Congressional investigations into the activities of the Administration. And make sure that McCain and any other Repuke 2008 candidate gets appropriately tarred with the same brush.

12. Investigations start and the results will lead where they lead.
I think that is the way to focus on it.

Dems will investigate and what will follow will be based on what they facts show.

Let's see what we can prove. I have a feeling the evidence will be mind-blowing.

I think if the Dems take over, on election night they should just announce that the WH better turn off the shredders right now.

13. If Iran/Contra is any indicator, probably not.
The modus opperandi, for YEARS, has been ...

1. Huff & Puff
2. List the infractions
3. Have hearings
4. Make some more speeches
5. Evvvvverybody sing.. Cumbaya

For a long time now, Democrats in power have seemed afraid to take that last step. At some point, they usually fall for the "Let's all get along" mantra. Republicans know how to plunge that stiletto deep into the heart. Democrats usually go for the flesh wound, and then immediately start CPR..

WE are the party of compassion, and yet allowed repubes to steal THAT from us too..

19. Did you pay ANY attention to Iran-Contra?

Several people were tried, convicted, sentenced and served. Then on Christmas Eve, 1992, then President George H. W. Bush pardoned all of them along with those still awaiting trial.

The pardons cleared everyone. The end.

21. Those darned pardons..
That needs to be changed .. Too bad some stuff was not held back and could have been charged against them after the pardons.

I think a presidential pardon should not be allowed for members of their own administrations.. You KNOW that no matter what happens in the Plame investigation, junior will just pardon them all and they'll go back to texas to lick their wounds...only to return at a future date to harrass us all again:(

17. No
They will work a deal to save us from the spectacle. Corporate elites will insist. Of course it is still a long shot that will will get a majority in either House. But for electronic voting I'd think it would be a cinch. Rigged districts, repug expertise at election gaming + those damn machines make it very iffy.

26. Absolutely. Uphold the U.S. Constitution.
Edited on Wed Apr-26-06 08:52 PM by dubyadubya3
They all swore (or will swear) an oath to protect her. Bush-boy et al has attacked, spit upon, and trashed the U.S. Constitution time and time again with impunity. The Rule of Law requires that the new Congress impeach the evil bastard. The sooner the better...

27. I know that the Progressive Caucus within the House really want * out
Earlier this month, when I went on my university's trip to D.C., we had a chance to meet and have a conversation with the representative from our district,Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-22nd of NY), who is part of the Progressive Caucus, and I asked him a question regarding the Conyers Resolution to investigate & impeach *(I also thanked Rep. Hinchey for co-sponsing the resolution). And from Hinchey's response, I know the Progressive Caucus really wants * and his cronies out and to be impeached. Hopefully if the democrats do take back the House & Senate, * and his cronies will be impeached, maybe the rest of the Democrats can take a cue from the Progressive Caucus.
