Full Page Advertisement in my Local Paper splainin' Exxon's Profits.

I wonder how many millions of their billions they spent massaging the public relations on the day they announce their first quarter earnings. They were below expected (nod nod wink wink say no more say no more)but the fifth highest in American history according to Lou Dobbs.

1. CNN did a segment on "why the oil and gas companies get

tax breaks." It was supposed to make them sound well earned, but it just made me wonder when the CNN reporters were put on Exxon's payroll. :shrug:

3. They made $1,000,000,000 more than last year's1st qtr's profits

but they have been very very quiet about it and put that fact in the small print of their first quarter report.

I expect BushCo has let the media know they were not to highlight this fact today.
