It's official, NPR sucks ass!
On the way home tonight I tuned in to an NPR recap of the today's confirmation hearings. I swear the show should have been called "The Alito Apologist Hour". Every one of the panel trivialized, rationalized, or explained away, Alito's gaffs, bad judgment, and memory lapses. They also characterized the pointed questioning by democrats as little more than desperate attempts to rile Alito and get him to lose his cool. I wanted to puke.

3. Yep, and it has FOR A LONG TIME
The whole PBS system totally SUCKS now. It's GOP shit, peppered with the odd progressive show for the suckers not paying attention. They got it, they own it, and they are strangling it to death.

Fuckers.

4. They had a segment about how peoples opinions change over time
to drive the point that "hey everyone changes their mind".
Of course no mention that Alito is a liar and a racist/misogynist freak.

5. PBS' New Hour did the same thing last month.

Please support "IWT News." They want to create an advertising-free network which DOESN'T take government money.

7. Or is it that the "reporters" are so god damned stupid
and have no background on any of this that their observations aren't worth shit?

Edited on Wed Jan-11-06 01:00 AM by Nutmegger
use to be decent but are being slowly killed by the freepers. Ironically, the CPB was set up to prevent such things but now, with Bush Inc's stacking, it's nothing more than a dying institution. Damn Rethugs...:grr::mad::grr: I remember "NOW with Bill Moyers" and the turmoil that show went though because it was "too liberal".

Wiki has a snip about it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NOW_%28series%29

9. 'Liberal' is a code word for 'truth' and there is no way the current
administration can tolerate truthtellers. So, rather than risk being too obvious to the willfully blind, they used the word 'liberal' and demonized it, associated it with anyone, like Moyers, who simply told the truth and succeeded in persuading their minions to ignore anyone who was tagged with it. A clever way of ensuring that their indoctrination was not spoiled by any truthtelling.

All you have to do is read the writings of the neocons to understand that these crooks abhor the truth and actually say that 'lying to the people' is necessary for the good of the state. And here I thought this government was supposed to be concerned about the people, and the people chose the 'state'. What a delusion it all was. Democracy!! They've managed to give that word a whole new meaning also.

12. I've never heard Juan Williams
on NPR, but I have on Faux News, and the last two times recently on Dild O'Reilly's show. He told O'liar that he thought BO got ambushed by David Letterman on Late Night, and then a few days later, Williams called Harry Bellafonte a washed up old man after the singer/activist called GW Bush a tyrant and trrorist. No surprise Williams works for Faux.

13. But...But...but...They have CAR TALK! and that FUNNY Mike Feldman!
I just don't know where you people get the idea NPR is a Bushist noise machine! They have Terry Gross, and Garrison Keilor, for gawd's sake! I don't see why people say they're not Liberal! :sarcasm:

Juan Williams, Coke-head Roberts, Mara LIE-a-some...That's why they shit-canned Bob Edwards, he wouldn't drink the Kool-Aid.
And NPR is run by a former Voice of Murka head, too.
