This exceeds the highest gas bill we have ever received & it's been a relatively mild winter so far. :wtf:

1. I feel your pain...
thank god for global warming or radical climate shift or whatever it is that is causing WI to be so warm this winter, my heat bill already exceeds my car payment and if it gets too cold I will be spending more to heat my house than I do on my mortgage! Greedy fucking oil companies, may they rot in hell!!

2. But W loves the oilmen...he's one of them
And we all know his economy is doing so great that it's no problem for us to pay the heat bill. You have to admire W for his ability to transfer our wealth to his donors and still have any Americans support him.

I've always thought of him as a snake oil salesman.

6. Yeah, mine went from 40 something last month to over 200
this month, despite the fact that we've only had a few cold days and actually wore shorts right after Christmas.

7. Yes, ours is $215
and... our electric bill is high, too. I think it because of all the electric space heaters that we have scattered around the house.

You do lower the temp. to 65 at night and when everyone is out, right?

9. Does your community have an aggregation program?
(a program where the city or county agrees to buy all of their gas or electricity from one supplier, usually at a lower fixed rate)

My rates are fixed through the spring. I know I've saved some money through the program.

11. Don't worry, the NYSE went up to 11.000
which reflects the wealthy getting windfall profits on our energy payments.

Middle-class money may be pouring up now, in the thousands of dollars a year for essentials like gas and health insurance premiums, but it will trickle down later.

For instance, the wealthy kids of the investor class will no doubt be stopping off at the Burger King that our kids and outsourced spouses work at.

12. we got oil delivery last month
150 gallons - bill came to $324.00 Fortunately for us, we stacked 6 cords of wood for heat, it's helped alot. We're down to about 2 cords now, hoping the mild weather holds out. Planning on getting 8 cords for the 2006-2007 heating season.

gas stations around here just hiked the price of regular to $2.45/gallon

My partner told me yesterday that just about everyone who came into her workplace office were complaining about the prices...

enny-whooo....we won't see a drop in prices until Congress decides to hold or threatens to hold an investigation.

16. I'm in Northern VA and mine was $509.00
And that's with a mild winter so far. My historical gas bill data tells me that my usage will be 125 therms higher next month, so I have a $750.00 bill to look forward to. Oh, and that's leaving my house at 65 degrees 24/7.

We are living the nightmare results of the Che*ney secret energy meetings and there's not one f#@king thing we can do about it.

Look, I don't know about anyone here, but I'm not sure how many months I can sustain this s#it.

17. wow -- that's amazing.
i wonder if anybody is keeping track -- in that ''what's the matter with kansas'' camp?

this is very interesting information -- and MUST be punching a hole in some families finances -- i'm very curious about what some others might be thinking about this.
