White House Correspondents Dinner---Colbert makes 'em nervous
The fact that they were so friggin' uncomfortable, during Colbert, speaks volumes about them...doesn't it?

Damned ass kissing pigs...they earned it.

1. But SHRED, it wasn't funny, doncha know? While the skit
dimson did with help of a double because he's too incapable of holding his own is crowned as an achievement. I think the blivet was pissed because he thought he lost his 'creds' for the skit.
Then, while absorbing what Colbert said, he may just have gotten a bit annoyed, because the truth
really does hurt, and he's heard it so rarely.

2. I'm thinking that Colbert was invited for one of two reasons...

(1) To say what the media has been thinking but could not say (because of either cowardice or job security); or

(2) The media isn't familiar with Colbert's Faux News/Faux Republican act on Comedy Central, which would say a lot about how little they have their hand on Americans' pulse.

I've also wondered about Bill Kristol's teasing of Colbert on his show the night before the dinner: That he helped Colbert with his speech & the video. Does that mean that Kristol knew beforehand what Colbert was going to say? I also wonder if someone had to approve Colbert's remarks beforehand, given that the media seems to be so sensitive toward Bush's bubble.
