I suggest we give Howard Kurtz the Lloyd Grove treatment
as least Grove was a man and printed some of the emails he received on the subject:

W's foes: 'Bombs' hit target

Sometimes even the conventional wisdom can be controversial.

Take a look at the outraged E-mails responding to this column's report that Washington insiders thought Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert "bombed badly" at Saturday's White House Correspondents Association Dinner:

Reader John Denton: "Wake up, dorks! He got to Bush and to the generals and the reporters."

Reader Terry Wellman: "Get out into the streets, fields, workplaces and homes. Then you may truly find that ... he was very entertaining and showed the emperor's clothing for what it was not!"

Virginia reader Craig Faanes: "If Colbert 'bombed badly,' why did Faux 'News' devote so much vitriol this morning to the story?"

Canadian reader Terence Laverdure: "Colbert bombed badly is such a dumb comment; it's your murderous President who has badly bombed Iraq, literally."

Reader Valerie Hartsfield: "Colbert bombed? You have got to be kidding!!! You are the one who has bombed your own column. Wake up and smell the truth!"

Doesn't she mean "truthiness"?
