People are sick!!
Edited on Thu May-04-06 09:04 PM by journalist3072
People are sick, I tell you!

So I'm listening to As It Happens on Radio Canada International this evening, via my shortwave radio.

And they start interviewing this man from Springfield, Illinois who has kept a partially eaten sandwhich by Richard Nixon all these years.

The way the man tells it, when Nixon was Vice President, he came to the man's hometown for a campaign event, and he ate a sandwhich. He and Pat had to leave and move on to the next event, and he left part of his sandwhich untouched.

So the man takes it home and has kept it in his freezer all this time.

It's things like this that cause you to wonder what makes people tick.

1. What may be even sicker...
is that such a thing would make it to international radio.

3. Well, As It Happens does a lot of "human interest" stories like this
I really love As It Happens.

I've heard things on As It Happens, that I might not hear elswhere.

For example, one time they were talking about the fact that when we came from the moon, we brought back things like moon rocks.

And so, we gave moon rocks to a lot of countries (for them to put in their museums). And it turns out that many of the countries we gave the moon rocks to do know what happened to them.

Some of them have taken care of them, putting them in museums, etc.

But other countries don't have a clue. So this man here in the U.S. has been trying to research and figure out what happened to the moon rocks we gave these other countries.

I love stories like this. I am intrigued by them.

But tonight's story......yeeks.

7. I did not know that about the moon rocks.
I actually never knew how many were brought back, as I was a wee lad for the first landings...

2. I used to have a hailstone that killed a calf in my freezer.
Why am I posting this?

Because I am as crazy as that guy in Illinois, I suppose.

17. I was hiding her from the cops.
It's a long story, but the hailstone was my alibi.

You have no idea how hard it is to explain a 3month old calf that is wearing a bustier and a thong.

It was those big brown eyes what done me in.

4. That is sick
He probably is waiting for Bush to stop in so he can have something he bit off. Why on earth would you save a half eaten sandwich?
