BAGHDAD, Iraq - The U.S. military command Thursday released previously unseen images of a video purportedly posted by al-Qaida in Iraq’s leader, showing him decked out in American tennis shoes and unable to operate his machine gun.

Authorities also said 31 “foreign fighters” had been killed since April and 161 al-Qaida in Iraq leaders were killed or captured since January, seriously undercutting the group’s logistical abilities.

Yay! We're winning the War on Terra! But it will go on foever...

1. i really dont' think it matters
since, according to quite a few things i've read, there really aren't many foreign fighters in iraq compared to iraqi insurgents. and most iraqis who sympatahize with either the sunni or shiite elements of the insurgency don't like these al-qaeda fools coming in and just blowing up civilians without any real strategy of how to get rid of us forces except for "fucking shit up" for everybody in iraq, including normal iraqis.

4. Even his name shows he is a fake
As I've written elsewhere, even Zarqawi's name demonstrates that he is some kind of fake. The name, "Abu Musab al-Zarqawi" is essentially meaningless in Arabic.

"Abu" is just an honorific that means, "father of". Many Arab men take a nickname on the birth of the first son. For example, the moderate Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas is often called by his nickname, Abu Mazen, because his first son was named Mazen.

So Abu Musab simply means, "father of Musab". It is not a given name.

al-Zarqawi is also not a given surname. It refers to the fact that this person claims to be from the Jordanian town of Zarqa. The suffix "wi" is sort of like "ian" or "er" in English. We take the town name Boston and call someone from there a "Bostonian" or the place name "New York" and call a person from there a "New Yorker".

The word "al" just means "the" in Arabic.

So "Abu Musab al Zarqawi" means nothing more than "Musab's dad, the guy from Zarqa."

It does not identify the underlying person in the least.

instead of in two parts.
Seems pretty obvious this tape is made by US propoganda division.
