We can already see Repigs distancing themselves from the Great Decider. If they all start bolting, and start doing the right thing, they will start looking like they actually care about the people.

1. But look at their approval numbers...
Edited on Fri May-05-06 07:01 AM by marmar
They're even lower. It's like Al Capone calling Bugsy Siegel a gangster.

4. I'll take my chances. The more the Repubs distance themselves....
...from the ruling NeoCons, the greater the chance we can remove that scum from political power.

5. The best immediate thing for our country...
...is for this overreaching tyrant of a "president" to go down. It will be a reaffirmation of our nation's constitutional system of checks and balances. That's worth giving some Republicans an "out." For this president to be removed from office, quite a few Republicans will have to do the right thing.

6. The only thing Repugs care about
is money and property.

Even when they try to pretent that they care about people, they always blow it.

it's too late. It makes them look opportunistic and disingenuous.

9. You never have to worry about them "doing the right thing"....
they'll change course away from the blivet but they'll never "do the right thing". They'll merely try a different tack on the same course heading. Their goals haven't changed, just their path in getting there.

15. You know how absurd that sounds? "You never have to
worry about them doing the right thing?" Maybe I have gone off the deep end -- worrying that someone (repig) might do something good - haha

So let those numbers drop like a stone off a skyscraper.

18. yes, but it is only a "short term" benefit. They will swing back
in December and then we are stuck with them

19. If they swing back in December, and voted to benefit America in November
than we are back on track. All we need to do is keep doing the right thing, and keep the momentum up until 08.
