1. Did you notice the phrase "unless the environment changes unexpectedly?"

:wtf:

Makes ya wonder what dirty trickery the GOPigs will try to prop up *resident ShitForBrains....this phrase (and maybe I'm being paranoid) is indicative that they have (or should have - according to the "strategists") something up their sleeve. Would YOU put it past them? I wouldn't. I would put NOTHING past this crime syndicate.

Republican strategists said the party stands to lose control of Congress unless the environment changes unexpectedly.

2. Conservatives have been doing this for a while
Edited on Fri May-05-06 08:44 AM by long_green
By that I mean saying that W is not a "real conservative." Since 1/20/01 it has been a fantasy designed by the Heritage Foundation: lower taxes for the top of the economic heap, crumbs for those below; a gutting of non-defense spending; the regulatory powers of government transformed into enablers for big business; the legislative branch bribed to be a rubber stamp for business; the opposition (to the extent that we have one) ignored as a part of government. But, since the president is wildly unpopular, it must be that he is not a "real conservative." What in God's name would a real conservative do?

3. It's taken the bushitlers 5
freakin' years to get to this point that even the media isn't helping..

"Just one-fourth of the public approves of the job Congress is doing, a new low in AP-Ipsos polling and down 5 percentage points since last month. A whopping 65 percent of conservatives disapprove of Congress."

Can you imagine how low they would go if we had an honest and aggressive media like when they went after Clinton for Whitewater and Monica?
