Anatol Lieven, a senior researcher for the New America Foundation, disagreed with the title of the panel discussion. “We don’t own Russia or any other country in the world, so we can’t lose them,” he said. Lieven said recent independent polls give the government of Russian President Vladimir Putin an approval rating of 72 percent and that democratic parties receive just 7 percent of public support compared with other parties in Russia.

He did a stellar PR performance by publically announcing that some oil pipeline would avoid polluting an area near population.

That Ex KGB Officer really knows how to play to the crowd. :P

These latest efforts are really piss poor, in that, my eight year old can see through them - Porter could use your expertise since the CIA has been gutted in favor of manning their staff with a bunch of Neo-Con political Lackeys.
