3. He already re-assigned him without yanking his security clearance
If Rove is resigning, it's more than just popcorn time...it's pop-a-keg time!

6. I read that as "personal announcement"
I thought we were in store for some sort of Ralph Wiggum type comment.

18. That's how I read it too.
But your punchline was brilliant. "Mommy says my nose would stop bleeding if I just kept my finger out of there."

7. But isn't Karl already out of the White House?
Things change so quickly these days I can barely keep up... is he still a deputy something-or-other at the White House, or is his role purely political now? Fitz has something going on with Karl at 1:30? Seriously? I need to catch up...

Officially, he's been reassigned to concentrate on the upcoming elections and his 'portfolio' was revised to remove his policy-making activities. Un-officially...he's always been in the thick of it as far as policy-making goes. Bush etal makes no distinction between policy-making and politics.

15. Karl still has his Senior Adviser job, but doesn't make policy decisions..
...anymore. Let's put it this way - if it were good news for the WH, then they wouldn't dump it out on a Friday afternoon. My $$ on Karl's resignation.

21. My money's on Sec. Snow
I'm hoping for a bigger fish, but they've been expected to kick Snow to the curb for awhile now... hmmmm... If I had my druthers, Bush would appear on TV at 1:45 to tell us that he finally accepted Rumsfeld's resignation.

9. Hmmmmm, Rover would have to step down before the indictment.
All the buzz seems to be that an indictment is just down the road. Can't have the headlines read Senior White House Official Indicted, now can we? Ex-Senior White House Official Indicted sounds so much better. Hee hee.

It's likely just a coincidence. He could be gonna announce the twins are going into the Marines.

12. Bush* himself making the announcement, not Bolten? That means
it's a cabinet position, not a WH position. It's Rummy, imo.

23. This is going to give us a good first look whether they are going
back on the offensive or stay on the deflective course, depending on what the announcement is. If its Snow, I'm betting something's about to blow (LOL!) and they're deflecting.
