Cunningham prostitutes may have been male, reports are circulating
To be clear: these are nothing more than comments that caught my eye, because of the Gannon M4M and his known photographs and advertising for his male escort prosti services. In that way these comments are relavent. They lend to the long discussion which occurred here at DU on Gannon's porn past. We all wondered what he was doing in the WH press room, then outed him for being a repug hack and stoog. Then his web sites were found. All discussed at length on the DU.
"reports are circulating that the hookers were male not female as everyone susupects. i wonder if jeff gannon was there.
cunningham has said before he had gay sex during vietnam and was outed by a speaker at a conference already"
AND from page 2 at of comments to Cunningham article at Huffpo
"Although MinneapolisMike's diatribe was entertaining and worthy of Norma Rae, he failed to notice that the report didn't mention, and actually went to great pains not to mention, the gender of the prostitute. Though I know banging the feminist drum is really popular and effective in rallying the troops, it is not always applicable.
Considering the fact that Elizabeth Birch, former director of the HRC, inadvertently outed Cunningham a few years back, it's very likely that the prostitutes were more of the Jeff Gannon persuasion.
This is all the more interesting since Mr. Cunningham was one of the most virulently anti-gay and homophobic Representatives in Congress.
So, rather than playing the sexism card, it may be more appropriate to discuss the hypocrisy and shamefulness of homophobic GOP politicians who support DADT, the "Defense of Marriage" Amendment and every other anti-gay legislation, while voting against Hate Crimes legislation, anti-discrimination policies and anything gay positive. Let's discuss the scourge of politicians who beat us over the head with their impeccable "family values" (including anti-gay, anti-abortion, pro-war, pro-corporate greed values) and present their Christian fundamentalist public face all the while living the very "abominable" and "perverse" lifestyle that they rail against on the floor of congress.
I feel that, though MinneapolisMike's post was entertaining and generally correct, it may not be applicable, in the case of Cunningham."
