I really wouldn't mind seeing a all of them voted out and a wholesale lineup change. The republicans seem to think 9/11 was some kind of mandate to spend every nickel they can squeeze out of taxpayers. Too many dems have gone along with them so that their "earmarks" (is that just a polite term for pork or what?) can get paid for.

I'm not saying that the new batch wouldn't have already sold their souls by the time they took office, but it would be one heck of a message to send to Washington.

27. I wish she would, but I haven't heard anything like that.
I believe there is a Democratic challenger out of Homer, maybe, whose name I can't remember right now, and also Anchorage activist Diane Benson has said she will be running. She has a special perspective as her son Latseen was severely injured in Iraq this past year, two weeks after he was supposed to have been sent home. Here is her website.

Additionally, there have been rumors that Tony Knowles will make another run for national office, but nothing definite yet.

I'd love to lose Kay Bailey Hutchison and Trent Lott, but I'm being realistic. If we could link them to Abramhoff, it might become a horse race. Otherwise....we'll all have to keep listening to their inane dribble.

22. George Allen (R (for racist) VA)..No one with his
history of racism and oddball love affair with the Confederacy deserves to serve in the US Senate. This bastard named all three of his children after his favorite Confederate heroes. One, General Nathan Forrest, was an early Grand Wizard of the KKK who committed atrocities against black Union soldiers. Allen has got to go.

24. Here's an article from last week's
New Republic about the creep. He has Presidential ambitions and is being touted by GOP insiders. I went to high school with him and can verify that the graffiti mentioned in the article was indeed racist, despite his denials. He's a real piece of work.
