the prom dance, boys on the one side, girls on the other...no one dancing. Afraid to be that first one to walk over to ask the girl to dance.

That one person

that one person, and the dam would break. You are right. The people have to make their voices heard.

Masses of people get out and they protest the war. New York just had a massive protest...did you hear about it? I didn't, except for on the web...those sitting at home being spoon-fed the crap that media serves as news, no mention any kind of dissent, no mention of the 68% that disapprove of the direction this country is heading. You would think, sitting there being spoon fed...that the 32% are the majority, and they are RIGHT.

What the hell are polls but the voice of the people...but Pissypants doesn't care about the voice of the people. We are on our own...or

Just one charismatic person is all it would take. WE NEED A LEADER! We need SAM KINISON type person...WE NEED A HERO!

3. Cindy Sheehan
she put the smackdown on Bush and not one damn thing changed. Now she's down the memory hole as far as most Americans are concerned. IMHO what it will take is something really huge and IMHO that isn't going to happen. Americans generally don't give a flying lick about the middle east, White House corruption and such. All they really seem to care about is the Jerry Springer type outrage of the day.

Now, I will say, if Cheney got his weenie whacked by Gannon at the Watergate, that might get them to listen in for more than 5 minutes -- as long as it doesn't conflict with Idol.

4. It's sad really
TV our enemy? They have used TV successfully, to dumbed down America, with the inane programing and news that is just another form of shock entertainment...

That and, keep the masses struggling to survive. You dont pay attention to a crisis that is happening to your country, when you having a crisis of your own?

I guess it has to get worse, much worse. A "Let them eat cake" moment in time.
