nor should we even try, at most we should lobby our government to have a policy of non-intereference into other nations political development, this should be a given, but our government has a bad track record in this regard, hence the defensiveness of elected leaders like Chavez, they have a tendancy to get killed by our government, and death squads result.
Not to mention more direct links with foriegn governments, for example, for all intents and purposes, the United States, Canada, and Mexico all share the same economy, we just keep the illusion of being independent. As such, any domestic policy of any of these nations can have dramatic effect on others, witness the Illegal Immigration upswing since NAFTA's approval. Same goes for China as well. We ignore all at our peril, for if we are to have true progress in this world, we must engage in talks with this world.
