Historian Robert Remini will be our guest for In Depth on Sunday May 7th from Noon to 3pm ET. Professor Remini has written biographies of Martin Van Buren, Henry Clay, Daniel Webster, John Quincy Adams, and Joseph Smith. He is also the author of a number of books on the life and times of Andrew Jackson, one of which, "Andrew Jackson & the Course of American Democracy, 1833-1845," was awarded the National Book Award. Professor Remini was appointed by the Library of Congress to research and write a history of the U.S. House of Representatives. The result of that project is his latest book, "The House: The History of the House of Representatives," to be published on May 1st. He would be appauled at the amount of power they have lost to the other branches, and saddened by the temper of congress, the lack of harmony.

This guy is a fine historian, and I am betting he is no fan of GWB or the GOP in Congress. He did not think Madison would like the partisanship and jamming "things down the minorities throats".

We need to have him do a book on Tom Delay!!! LOL
