Cheney: Nobody Wants 'Russia As An Enemy'

SHANNON, Ireland -- Vice President Dick Cheney is defending his criticism of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Cheney said it's important to have "open, honest, frank discussions about your views" and that his were measured in tone.
He went on to say that "none of us wants to see Russia as an enemy."

In his remarks to reporters, Cheney praised the progress toward democracy across Eastern Europe and stressed the importance of Kazakhstan's energy reserves.
