DISAPPEARING CIVIL LIBERTIES MUG
Edited on Sun May-07-06 11:36 PM by tuvor
Thank god the election is behind us. It got so tense at Stupid Headquarters, the Lefties and the Righties on our staff nearly came to blows. Now the Conservative staffers are marching around with big grins, but the liberals are sullen and prone to dropping things. To cheer them up, we've decided to offer this remarkable mug.

The Disappearing Civil Liberties Mug is covered with the complete text of The Bill of Rights. But when you pour in hot liquids, the Rights that are infringed by Ashcroft's Patriot Act vanish before your very eyes!

For example, after we filled our mug with hot coffee, the Second Amendment guaranteeing the right to bear arms stayed in place, while the First Amendment guaranteeing free speech faded into oblivion.

It's as political as a coffee mug can possibly be. You Republicans out there have Bush for another four years. But at least Liberals can take solace with this mug.

(No, I don't work for them.)

1. It would be nice to have a mug with the Bill of Rights on it
that doesn't disappear. (yeah it's funny and all)

But if it was on a coffee mug, I would read it, memorize it, know it like the back of my hand.

Back to the funny part - that would be a good gift for Russ!
