Kurt Vonnegut and *'s fish tale
Hocus Pocus, in that novel Vonnegut's main character has to take care of his mentally handicapped wife and her mother. One of the things he does is take then fishing, one day his mother in law caught a small fish and a big fish inhaled it at the same time.
Later in the book, he is talking with the Japanese prison commander when his mil in a moment of clarity says "Did you tell him about my fish?"
Yesterday, when i read the commander in chimp* comments about his ahem big perch, that all I could think of Did you tell him about my fish?

It's the walk a mile in my shoes thing, when someone else has been through the shit I've been through then I'll take inconsequential critism until then i don't give a great big smelly rodent's behind.

...the same way a fish has its own stride. :)

now ask me if I give a rat's ass.

Nah, I wouldn't expect you to give up your breakfast. ;)

To the rest of you... sorry for the distraction of my post. And yes, I did exaggerate for effect a little -- I could kinda sorta get what catmandu57 was trying to say. I don't normally comment on spelling or grammar or punctuation either, it's just that this one post was so bad it was almost physically painful to read.

6. This asshole should do the world a favor.
He should spend all his time fishing and riding his bicycle around his "ranch." And he should let someone who is both qualified and intereste run the government.
