Ah, you know better 'n that ;) He is in political mode now to look charming and appreciative.

Just remember he is the guy who LOST the argument about the 4th Amendment.

3. Sounds on-the-money to me.
Tenet carried water for Bushco, with the false intelligence he provided to support the invasion of Iraq, despite the contradictory intelligence that many of his underlings in the CIA provided him.

Goss carried water for Bushco by going in and purging the CIA of those intelligence officers who provided contradictory evidence in the lead up to war.

Hayden intends to carry on in the tradition set by his predecessors.
