And I voted no. Personally, I hope that John Conyers is elected Speaker. In my world, that would be perfect. :-)

3. She is now Minority Leader, and would become Speaker
same as what happened to Newt Gingrich.

11. Hell, No! She is a terrible speaker (no pun intended.)
She's not forceful enough, she stammers when she speaks, she always ends up playing defense. I have not been impressed with her at all.

13. She's in a battle for the position with Steny Hoyer.
I gather he plays a rough game on this.

14. She has let us down, yes.
But, She is a mile ahead of Hoyer. I'd like like Jim McDermott or Henry Waxman. Yet, maybe Waxman is too much a detail type guy. He is the one who puts the nuts and bolts together to form a workable government.
I voted not sure for Pelosi. She has potential as long as we keep the pressure on her, not to stray .

18. If Hoyer is the only option then I would go with Pelosi....
but I'd like to see someone who can speak more forcefully on issues. I can't stand Hoyer. He seems more Repug than Dem.

21. If Hoyer were to be speaker
it would be enough to help encourage me to become Green. Pelosi, I'd have some patience.

17. If she becomes speaker of the house and both bush and cheney quit or
are forced out together. It can happen. The chance is better than me winning the lottery. (I don't play it.)

No, Nancy Rocks! - she is one intelligent and classy gal. :applause:

And nominating that opportunist Harold Ford, Jr. is, IMO, also a non-starter. :puke:
