When We Bomb Iran, We Will Not Use Nukes...
and per plan, the public will be relieved that Prezzydent nutball "only" carpet- bombed the crap out of a sovereign (and ostensibly Democratic) nation.

Btw, when the straits of Hormuz are closed, look for 10 dollar per gallon gas.

3. Today Iran sent a letter directly to president
and the spot market price for oil dropped forty cents on the news. The price of oil is being driven up by the war talk, to the direct profit of bush's oil company buddies at home and abroad. Mission Accomplished.

6. We will have $10 a gallon gas after ChimpCo
drains the Strategic Petroleum Reserve dry.

The odds are still 50:50 for the use of mininukes against Iran.

These people are power-drunk criminal sociopaths - the consequences mean nothing to them.

The only thing holding them back is the effectiveness of a mininuke strike against Iran's Natanz nuclear facility.

If the upcoming Divine Strake test indicates that such a strike would be successful (even if it required multiple bombs) they will use them...

7. It isn't just Iran's nuclear facilities. There are over a thousand targets
They mean to disable Iran and create another Civil War. They like the idea that they are fighting amongst themselves. This is a planned event and is not just new planning happening. Project for a New American Century....

9. Smaller targets will be handled by the US Airforce/Israeli Airforce
The big targets could very well have mininuke bunker busters used on them, but I suspect less important targets will be struck by a combination of cruise missile attacks and smart bombs dropped by warplanes. Yes, I think Israel will team up with the US in the event of a bombing campaign against Iran. Iran's airforce will not be much of a hinderance. We will take down Iran's air defenses in days if not hours if war breaks out. Against the US Airforce there is little defense except retaliation with whatever survives.

10. Why would you think the Straits of Hormuz would be closed
If the balloon goes up in Iran, its the first place that the US would secure.

11. Anyone else think that the US bombing
Iran in the short-medium term is unlikely? I just do not sense it in the air.

There would be no British support (not even diplomatically), and clearly no UN Security Council support. And last time the administraion was able to lie by suggesting that the "serious consequeces" spoken about in the UN Resolution (1447, was it?) was a green light for war. They won't be able to pull that fucking bullshit again. They would be TOTALLY isolated.

Further, the political fallout (domestic/international) would be unprecedented and, probably, fatal for Bushco. I really think that their whole house of cards could tumble down around them if they tried it.

And what's the upside for them? The PNAC project? Pah! It's fucking dead. From here on in it's fire-fighting for these monkeys. They might wish they could bomb Iran, but they can't. They are too weak, and even scorched-earth is beyond them at this stage.

Nope, I think the sabre-rattling is just that and no more. All rattle and no trousers.

13. Interesting observation.
However, the desire is certainly there.

I think hawks in general are eager to set a new precedent with a pre-emptive nuke.

If that means a little false-flag action to kick it off, so be it.
