Watching her on Hardball, she did give Hayden props for his credentials, but then went on to say that spying on citizens without warrants was outside of the law and she didn't agree with it. She said he'd be questioned at length probably in committee in a classified setting.

I honestly don't know where she stands on Hayden, but I wouldn't say she is supportive of his nomination. More than anything she was extremely vague and unfortunately that's the way she is - I'd never call her a spitfire.

In an update this morning, John Ydstie talked to Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, who said she thought Hayden was a good choice and that she expected him to be confirmed. Best DiFi line: She also said she expected Hayden would clean the CIA of the "Gosslings" -- those brought into the agency by departing Director Porter Goss.
