What's the quote from the Senator threatening Clinton's life?
I remember there was a quote in the 90's from a southern Republican senator basically threatening Clinton's life. It was something like if he comes down here (to whatever state the senator was from) how he won't survive or something.

I've been Googling and can't find it. Can someone help me?

Thanks.

3. Jesse Helms, IIRC
I don't have the exact words either but it was something like, "If you come down to S. Carolina, you'd better come heavy."

4. If memory serves correctly

and there is no guarantee of that whatsoever, I think it may have been either Strom Thurmond or Jesse Helms who said something like Clinton's actions may get him harmed in their home state. I'm sure that someone with a better memory can clarify this matter further. But I hope this helps a little bit.
