US Army Troop Build up on Iraq-Iran Borders
http://www.zaman.com/?bl=international&alt=&trh=20060511&hn=33036

After the Tehran administration conducted operations against the terror network Kurdish Workers’ Party (PKK) by crossing the Iraqi border, the US Army in Iraq is claimed to have increased the military build up of US troops on the Iranian border.

Tehran local radio announced the US stationed army units on the Iraqi border, increased reconnaissance flights in the region, and trained anti-Iran militias in Iraq. Iranian Interior Ministry confirmed the information.

Activity on the 450 kilometer long border is gradually increasing. Tehran radio also recorded that the US aircrafts reconnaissance flights could also be seen from villages along the border.

According to reports on Turkish news channel CNN Turk, Acting Iranian Interior Minister Mohammed Bakir Zulkadir also confirmed the border activity and said they are closely monitoring the situation.

1. The Dictator and his cronies are praying that a US soldier gets
killed along that border; I can feel their evil minds working. If one of "our boys" gets wasted by Iranian ordinance (or if we can make a good case for it), then the Dictator will be "forced" to respond. This is the "Polish border guards incursion" all over again. Keep flicking cigarette butts at the powder kegs and sooner or later there will be an explosion. This is so ridiculously stupid it is sickening. It won't make any difference who is ultimately to blame for the US trooper's death, it will start the war that the Dictator wants - and that's all that's important...

3. That's the game plan.
The U.S. is not only obvious but is painfully stupid.

Is congress sitting with pen in hand waiting to vote, and saying in the same breath, "my country right or wrong" we protect our soldiers?

4. If someone doesn't get killed, they'll fabricate the story. Stand by.

2. Hmm...haven't we seen this before in history?
It's almost reminiscent of when the German army was conducting "traning & excercises" on the Polish/Russian border.:scared:

6. Yes...and the Polish border guards were said to be....
..."launching attacks across the border on German troops".

Same story, different day.

10. Well the Dictator will have to do something.
He can't "stop-loss" his way to another army. This shit has got to stop before we get our asses handed to us by a united, pissed-off world (and it wouldn't be too soon, either)...
