Bush Monitoring About 200 Million Americans' Calls - US population 300 mil
http://www.abcnews.go.com/GMA/story?id=1948927&page=1

May 11, 2006— As controversy continues to swirl around the National Security Agency program that taps the phones of suspected terrorists within the United States, a USA Today story reveals another piece of the president's NSA spying program.

Today, the newspaper says that the spy agency has been collecting information on every phone call made in this country.

"Chances are that your cell phone calls, as well as your home phone calls, have been tracked," said Leslie Cauley, the reporter who broke the story. She said there was a "high likelihood" that this information was being passed on to the FBI and CIA.

The paper reports that three of the nation's largest phone companies — AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth — have been turning over detailed call histories of all their customers since Sept. 11, 2001, to help the NSA compile what they hope will be "the largest database ever assembled in the world."

2. So NSA is tracking the campaign calls we make and receive.
Doesn't that chill our rights to participate in campaigns and elections? If the Bush administration sells or public lands and publishes information about us such as census information, why couldn't it sell or give this information -- to opposing political candidates, our employers, etc. This is just the worst news yet about the Bushies. They have utterly no concept of human rights or privacy. Out with them. They should all be jailed.

3. 200 million down and they haven't found Osama yet?
most of ours are conversations with our plumber about our leaking toilet. They would be bored!

4. Next time those Verizon commercials come on TV
Make sure you listen to what they say. Don't go get a sandwich, don't go to the bathroom. Listen to the script.
