ATTN: DU attorneys: Can DU file a class action suit against NSA or

the phone companies that participated in illegal activities? DU probably has a large number of affected customers of AT&T, Bell South, and Verizon, and I'm certain many of them would like to sue because of violations of rights. Is this feasible, and wouldn't it be relatively easy to obtain people so affected on DU and other large chat rooms?

I would love to hear any and all opinions! Thanks.

action suit, but just that there are a lot of individuals here at DU who may well be interested.

3. I don't know. If it's random, then surely someone at DU has been

an unintentional target. And because it's random, I don't think that you'ld have to prove that you had been 'hit.' You could still argue that you could be hit in the future, and that it was an unconstitutional violation of rights.

6. I don't think it's dumb, but I do know that in order to bring a suit

against anyone, you have to prove that you have suffered some harm or loss. Like smokers against the tobacco companies (harm caused intentionally by deception). Now, undoubtedly someone here, I think probably EVERYONE here has been victimized. But the NSA has already shut down the investigation into their shennigans. No investigation, no proof.

9. Thanks for responding. How does the NSA have the authority to spy

on the American people, who GIVE them their powers, and then close off an investigation of their very criminality? Evertything in this administration is like a 1984-ish 'Catch 22!' It's become insane!

I think it may be a bit more involved than simply filing a lawsuit....
