Newt says "I won't defend the indefensable"
Saying on Hannity and Colmes that although he supports aggressive action against terrorism, he will not defend programs like the phone datamining.

"I won't defend the indensible."

Said the president owes the public an explanation. "This is a mess."

they keep the republican majorities, (and avoid jail).

The republicans only need to stay close, & after the electronic voting machines do their job...it'll be fascist republican business as usual after the election...Filthy lying greedy republican pigs!

9. Hmmm, looks like the Newtster is going to run for something!
I don't trust the guy as far as I could throw him, but I live in Ga., and Newt is good with the English language. He seems to know just wat to say to get a lot of people to like him. I don't know if he has his eye on 08, or something else, but I'm positive it's something!!!!

21. I can't stand Newtie either,
but if he is dissing his own, you KNOW the party is over. Repukes will flock to his side (remember his contract ON America koolaid?) and he WILL be elected, even without Diebold.

Newtie has NO-ONE's but his own survival at heart.....but I gotta say, compared to chimpy, he looks like St. Peter.

25. Oh I agree with THAT comparison! Of course, so do my 3 dogs!
Newt is a fairly charismatic guy, and he does a superb job of speaking compared to Shrub! My biggest problem with him is that he's closer (if that's possible) to big business than Shrub.

Edited on Thu May-11-06 08:40 PM by Armstead
Hannity still full of ther Koolaid.

Newt's hedging a bit now. Saying the program isn't the problem, but they are not being honest about it.

But at least he took one foot out of the Dark Side.

27. Because it's a finger in the wind assessment
Newt's at least as much a twisted sociopath as anyone in the administration. You probably wouldn't be able to tell a Gingrich presidency apart from Bush's, except that Newt is uglier.
