Vice President Cheney's daughter Mary is calling former Democratic vice presidential nominee John Edwards a "total slime" for bringing up her homosexuality in the 2004 vice-presidential debate.

In her new book "Now It's My Turn," Cheney called the move "sleazy politics" and recalls mouthing an obscenity towards Edwards from her seat in the audience. Cheney recalls that her sister and her mother showed their displeasure in a different manner — simultaneously sticking out their tongues at Edwards.

She may be a Cheney, but to the average faux viewer, she's still "a gay." :eyes: They aren't going to spend money getting a book by someone they still consider a lower life form.

The Fauxies wouldn't touch her book with a 10-foot pole, and the GLBT community considers her a traitor.

During Clinton's gays in the military flap, Larry King had Cheney on his show. He asked the former SecDef if it was true that gays would wreck the efficiency and cohesion of the military. Cheney put on that sardonic grin, looked down at his hands and said "Weeeeelll... that's an old chestnut." Larry was taken aback. "Really?" Cheney, still smiling, said "Yeah, really."

That's when I knew that someone in the Cheney tribe was gay. Republicans are always about Strong Rule of Law AND tweezing out exemptions just for themselves. If old Dick was sanguine about the notion, even while his screaming banshee wife was endlessly squawking about Moral Values, he was definitely carving a special case for one of his own.
