I want to enjoy watching the jug-eared little prick's world turn to shit, but there's a down side. I love this country. Every adult male member of my family dating back to the war of 1812 has served in the military. Most of those have gone to war, from the aforementioned 1812 conflict, to the Civil War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Grenada, and Desert Storm. It may sound hokey, but we thought this place was worth dying for. No longer. The United States of America is neither united, nor is it the America we once served. The face of this nation is now that of a smirking, would-be dictator; held in fear and contempt around the globe. He's going down in flames, but as much as I despise him, I can't truly enjoy it. He's trying to take my country with him.

1. What takes away from this
moment in history is that he has caused so much death and misery. There is no joy in that.

in an American city and the Gulf Coast.....9/11 makes you wonder if it could have been prevented...I never thought I would see this....

3. My feeling is more like restraint from screaming at the top of my lungs:
I FUCKING TOLD YOU SO! to all the rightwingers that live around here that vote 65% Bush. One time, out of 500 votes in our precinct, my husband and I were 2 out of the 4 votes that were for Dems on the ticket.

4. I'm right there with you. It's a sad thing, and being able to say, "I told
you so" is not really a victory for the greater good.

Yet, I still experience those sparks of "snap" when he or Rummy or Dick have to try to spin the unspinnable.

I guess we need to keep hope alive. :) MKJ

5. You're right. He IS going down in flames and while that's cause

for relief & celebration, there is grief at what he and his enablers have done to our beloved country.

6. Busholini has earned his place in hell. But that's not enough.
He personally should be totally discredited for what he has done, but much more important than that is the Republican "philosophy" that he and his supporters push must be made anathema to the American public.

The worst outcome is for all of the Busholini regimes crimes to be laid on him as "not being a real Republican". We cannot let that happen. We have to show that the Crawford Cretin is the embodiment of Republicanism.
