In the past I thought impeachment or at least censure was an appropriate response to BushCo.

This Newest NSA flap seems to have touched a raw nerve within the GOP as well.

For the first time I believe that you are going to see a portion of Republicans stand up and say enough is enough. The dump Bush sentiment in the GOP is now palpable...If he digs in his heels on this NSA thing.. the reats will syaty dropping hints.

It is CYA time and I think at a minimum, they may go for a censure if they think it will show some independence.

3. Actually, I think the moderates will be crowded out by
the conservative Rethugs. Both will be desparate to save their seats. Both of their wingnut groups are getting stung every single day by one set of shenanigans or another perpetrated by BushCo.

6. Conservative can not afford to piss off their loyalists
the 30% busg support which is rock solid would be roayally pissed if their senator voter for censure and he is up for re-election....Heorge Allen would los if he did this for example. THe base votes in big numbes. You splinter the base....you can not recover

4. And it's still inadequate
Impeachment of Bush and Cheney is the only viable option. Censure has only symbolic value. We need to remove the criminals from power.
