The Damn Dots Are Connecting!
Do you all remember when AG Alberto Gonzales testified before the Judiciary Committee about the domestic spy program, and someone (maybe Arlen Specter, but I forget who) asked him if there were other spy programs out there, and Gonzales was very evasive.

Now, we know the reason for his evasiveness!!!!

2. Yes, but didn't he say something weird too?Something like
"I wouldn't be surprised, or could be?"

I remember watching the hearing and talking about it on DU. He was very evasive, but he said something that made everyone think there was more spying than had been uncovered so far.

4. Not surprising.....
Every confirmation consists of the person being questioned being extremely evasive (not answering any relevant questions) and the Democrats asking the relevant questions not demanding legitimate answers. And people say this is a two-party government. And even if they do answer honestly, they aren't admitting to anything illegal-THEY MAKE THE LAWS!

5. This wasn't a confirmation hearing. This was a hearing where
the Admin. had sent Gozales to answer questions specifically about spying. I remember Spector not being very happy with Gonzo that day either!

6. Oooohhhhh.......
What did Spector do? Ask him another question that he didn't answer? Did you read that in the NYT? If you watch those hearings, you'll see that the Dems don't truly want to publicize the truth. They ask the right questions and then don't demand answers.......

7. If memory serves, Specter didn't even insist Gonzo be sworn in
He was allowed to give testimony without being under oath. Cuz ya know, we can trust the gubbermint.

8. Exactly!
Do people actually believe that Dem Congressmen disagree with the changes that have taken place over the last few years? Maybe some do, but less than half.....and surely no influential ones.......
