in other words, he's completely--and literally--nonpartisan.

7. There is an anecdote
about when he was working in New York, and did not put any party affiliation on his registration - so they defaulted him to Independent. He made them remove even that distinction. I remember reading that somewhere, but never confirmed it... so take it with a grain of salt.
