21. Funny, because Faux is going to end up beating them all
They are never going to get it. Until they start serving the underserved (in this case, UNserved Liberal view) market segment, they are always going to be number two or three of the cable networks.

It would be hilarious if Faux made a sharp left turn. CNN and MSNBC would still be walking around in a daze.

If they want to be #1 here's a clue...Niche marketing, boys and girls. Clue #2: The Cons are already saturated with choices.

19. it doesn't MATTER if they mind or not. I'll go on a limb here
and say the vast majority of people don't really MIND if people smoke pot now and then--but it's still illegal and it still gets your happy ass THROWN IN JAIL WHEN YOU ARE CAUGHT.

9. Oh, but "we haven't been attacked"
Why do they always bring this up as evidence Bush's trampling of the Constitution is 'working'? Can't they do the math between WTC bombing and 9/11? :banghead:

11. And Bennet has credibility how?
the guy with a gambling problem and the guy that visits a dominatrix? You'd think he'd be a bit nervous about his phone calls being tapped.

The way I always put it is - "If Hillary Clinton was president and this story came out & she said that we should trust her, would you take her word for it?" Any Freeper that would be fine with Hillary tapping their phone is lying.

27. Bennett was MILES O'(WHORE)BRIEN's second guest this a.m.
on the subject. He had some guy on earlier whose name I do not recall but he wrote a book called "Chatter" and he also thought the idea of domestic spying was just grand. Miles was right in behind him on it too. O'Brien NEEDS to have his face slapped. Such Bushwhoring I have never seen (except from Wolfie Blitzer). It makes me want to :puke:

Also notable was the fact that O'Brien and Bennett both slapped each other on the back (figurativelY) over the fact that all this domestic spying and the "million other things" (quote Bennett) that NSA is doing has kept us safe from any other attacks in this country since 9/11. How absolutely wonderful is all that Bush and his "agencies" are doing to protect the American people. FAUX ain't got nothin' on CNN anymore. :grr::mad::argh:

28. The GOP is pressuring the "big guns" now
There was a time when people gave a shit when Bettin' Bennett or Grinch Gingrich spoke. These two were "movers and shakers" trying to sell old-fashioned morality to the masses.

Too bad magazine articles and other bad press about blowjobs in cars and gambling addiction took away their claim to any "godly" character. People are stupid, but they're not THAT stupid.

Still, this administration lives in yesterday, when they thought they had a mandate to destroy everything they couldn't steal. So now it seems they're calling out yesterday's Big Boys, threatening them with exposure if they don't get out there and do SOMETHING, ANYTHING to help their Little Bro BushieBunnypants.

Why else would these self-centered, corpulent whackjobs appear on TV? They know they should be laying low right now, while Bush is "below freezing" (as a local mountain man put it to me this week, grinning widely).

They know with Americans at the boiling point they are at great risk of being associated with the administration Americans most distrust and fear. This is not a good personal move for either man, and these are men who do nothing if not for themselves.

But the NSA program has some wonderful evidence of Bill and Newt's Excellent Adventures, no doubt, so drink up Newty! Dust off your pious Fascism, Billy Boy! Get out there and help the Prince Chimp! After all, his Daddy helped you!!!!!

It's not gonna work, but it sure is predictable as hell.

:eyes:
